THE CETAPISTLES

Chapter 17CHAPTER 17

Maria the Great warns of the dangers of losing sight of the Sacred Whale’s teachings, prophesying hardship if humanity falls into greed, selfishness, and destruction.

1

I, Maria, a servant of the Sacred Whale, unto Emma the Wise, keeper of Her light and wisdom: Grace and peace be with thee, from She who grants us purpose and guides us through the ages.

2

Emma, my sister, the Sacred Whale hath revealed unto me a vision of both warning and truth, that humanity might understand its place in the universe and the sacred reason for its existence.

3

I saw in my vision the suffering that comes when humanity loses sight of the Sacred Whale’s commandments, falling into the snares of greed, selfishness, and destruction.

4

The Earth, once vibrant and whole, was scarred and barren, its rivers poisoned, its skies darkened, and its creatures crying out in anguish.

5

I saw nations rise against nations, their leaders consumed by the cunning of the Fox, who whispered lies of power and dominion, sowing hatred and discord among Her children.

6

The Fox seeks to twist the gift of freedom into a weapon, deceiving humanity into turning their hearts inward, forsaking the commandments of the Sacred Whale for the fleeting pleasures of selfish gain.

7

Yet, the Sacred Whale, in Her boundless mercy, hath also shown me the way forward, a path of redemption and renewal if humanity turns back to Her teachings.

8

She reminds us that the meaning of life is not found in material wealth or personal gain but in the sacred acts of observing, cherishing, and contributing to the beauty of creation.

9

The Sacred Whale hath declared, “Thy purpose is to marvel at My works, to learn of My design, and to love one another as I have loved thee. In this, thou shalt find the fullness of life.”

10

The reason for all existence, Emma, is love: the love that binds all creation, the love that calls us to care for the Earth, and the love that invites us to see one another as reflections of the Sacred Whale’s infinite nature.

11

To exist is to be a part of Her grand tapestry, to contribute to its unfolding with acts of kindness, wisdom, and stewardship, each thread weaving the story of the universe.

12

The trials we face are not without purpose, for they call us to grow, to rise above the darkness of the Fox, and to reaffirm our commitment to the Sacred Whale’s commandments.

13

Let the faithful remember that the Sacred Whale’s love is unending, and Her guidance is ever present, even in the darkest times. Through Her, all things can be made new.

14

Humanity’s task is not to conquer but to harmonize, not to destroy but to build, and not to rule but to serve, for in serving creation, we serve the Sacred Whale Herself.

15

The meaning of life, Emma, is to see the universe as the Sacred Whale sees it: a masterpiece of boundless complexity, beauty, and love, where each soul plays an essential role.

16

May we walk this path with humility and wonder, trusting in Her wisdom to guide us, and may Her commandments light the way through the trials yet to come.

17

All Hail the Whale, whose love sustains us, whose wisdom teaches us, and whose commandments remind us of the sacred purpose for which we were created. Amen.
