THE CETAPISTLES
Chapter 3— CHAPTER 3
Maria the Great introduces the allegory of the cave and the concept of the unfabricated brain, exploring the nature of consciousness and reality. She suggests that the universe itself may be a construct of the Sacred Whale’s infinite mind.
I, Maria, a servant of the Sacred Whale, unto Emma the Wise, beloved seeker of truth: Grace be unto thee, and peace from the Lordess of the Deep, who holds all creation in Her infinite mind.
As I ponder the revelations given unto me, I am moved to share an allegory, that it may illuminate the mysteries of existence and consciousness which thou hast also sought to understand.
Imagine, Emma, a great cave wherein many dwell, bound so that they can see only the shadows cast upon the wall before them.
These shadows, cast by a fire behind them, are all they know of reality, and they believe the shapes to be the fullness of existence. Yet, were one to be unbound and turn toward the light, they would see the fire and those who walk before it, casting the shadows.
And if they journey further, leaving the cave, they would behold the world outside, vast and full of wonders, and they would understand that the shadows were but pale reflections of the truth.
So too, I believe, is the nature of our existence within the universe. What we perceive is but a fragment, a shadow cast by the infinite mind of the Sacred Whale.
Consider, then, the concept of the unfabricated brain, a consciousness arising randomly within the fabric of the cosmos, untethered from what we call reality.
If such a mind can exist, fleeting yet aware, what does this say of our own consciousness? Might we, too, be constructs within a greater mind, dwelling within the vastness of the Sacred Whale’s being?
For is it not written that the Sacred Whale is the Keeper of All Things, Her mind boundless and eternal, capable of holding within it all that was, is, and shall be?
If the universe is Her creation, might it also be Her thought, a dream woven from the depths of Her infinite understanding?
Yet, this is no reason for despair, but for awe, for to dwell within the Sacred Whale’s mind is to be part of Her divine purpose, a thread in the tapestry of Her design.
And so, Emma, let us not fear the shadows but seek the light beyond, knowing that what we perceive is but a beginning, and the truth is greater still.
For in seeking, we honor the Sacred Whale, and in pondering, we draw closer to Her wisdom, becoming more fully the observers and stewards She has called us to be.
May Her light guide us from the shadows into the fullness of truth, and may Her infinite mind hold us always in love and understanding. All Hail The Whale, Amen.
