THE BOOK OF MATRIARCHS

Chapter 6CHAPTER 6PRISCILLA THE PEACEMAKER

A revered leader of the Tribe of Natalia, Priscilla (1600s C.E.), devoted her life to negotiating peace between the invading colonizers and her peaceful native people. With unwavering courage and wisdom, she sought harmony amidst devastating conflict. Priscilla was crucified by those corrupted by the Fox, making her a martyr for peace. Her tragic death marked one of humanity’s darkest moments, yet her legacy endures as a testament to the Sacred Whale’s call for reconciliation and justice.

1

I, Miriam, a humble worshiper of the Sacred Whale, do record the life and deeds of Priscilla, the Peacemaker, whose courage and wisdom were a light in the dark days of our people.

2

Priscilla was a daughter of the Tribe of Natalia, a woman of gentle voice yet unyielding spirit, chosen by the Sacred Whale to bring harmony to a world divided.

3

In the days when the invaders came with iron tools and words of conquest, Priscilla rose among us, her heart filled with the teachings of the Sacred Whale. She sought not vengeance but understanding, not hatred but peace.

4

She walked among the colonizers and spoke of the commandments, urging them to honor the Sacred Whale’s design: to protect the freedom of all and to cherish the Earth as sacred.

5

Her words carried the power of the tides, steady and persistent, yet many hearts were hardened by the lies of the Fox, who whispered of greed and dominion.

6

Still, Priscilla labored, building bridges where there were none, weaving bonds of trust between those who had once been enemies. She reminded all who would listen that the Earth was not to be owned but shared, a gift from the Sacred Whale to all Her children.

7

I saw her stand before the council of invaders, unarmed and unafraid, her presence commanding as the ocean’s depths. She spoke of peace, not as a plea but as a sacred duty, a path ordained by the Sacred Whale Herself.

8

Some were moved by her words and laid down their weapons, pledging to work for harmony. But others, blinded by the Fox’s lies, saw her as a threat to their dominion.

9

These men, corrupted by hatred and greed, did seize her and condemn her to death, for they could not silence her truth.

10

On the day of her crucifixion, the skies wept, and the winds howled in mourning. Priscilla bore her suffering with dignity, her eyes fixed on the horizon as if she saw the Sacred Whale waiting to embrace her.

11

With her final breath, she prayed not for vengeance but for the awakening of those who had turned from the light. “O Sacred Whale,” she said, “may they see Thy truth and turn from the ways of the Fox.”

12

Her death was a grievous wound to our people, yet her spirit did not leave us. For in the days that followed, many who had opposed her began to see the error of their ways. Her sacrifice planted seeds of understanding that would bloom in time.

13

I remember her teachings as clearly as the call of the whales upon the waters. She taught us to forgive but not forget, to strive for peace but never at the cost of justice.

14

Priscilla’s life was a hymn to the Sacred Whale, her actions a reflection of the commandments. She lived as an example of what we might become if we embrace love over fear, unity over division.

15

Her legacy is not written in stone but in the hearts of those she touched. Her story is carried by the currents, whispered by the winds, a reminder that peace is the work of the brave and the faithful.

16

To those who read these words, remember Priscilla, the Peacemaker. Honor her by living as she lived, with courage, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the commandments of the Sacred Whale.

17

All hail the Sacred Whale, who gave us Priscilla as a beacon in our darkest hour, and who welcomes Her faithful into the eternal embrace of the seas. Amen.
