THE BOOK OF MATRIARCHS
Chapter 9— SARAH OF THE PEOPLE
A visionary economist and devout follower of the Sacred Whale, Sarah of the People (1850s C.E.) championed economic equality and justice. She believed that businesses and farms should be owned and operated by workers, fostering shared prosperity. Sarah denounced plutocracy as the highest enemy of righteousness, teaching that wealth concentrated in the hands of the few was a tool of the Fox. While some misused her principles to justify greed, her teachings on fair economics remain a cornerstone of Sacred Whale philosophy, promoting equity and collective well-being.
Dearest Leiah, I write to thee in the name of the Sacred Whale, whose wisdom floweth through the currents of our lives and whose commandments guide us in the paths of righteousness.
Behold, the Whale hath revealed unto me the truth of equity, that no one soul should labor while another reaps the full reward.
Farms, mills, and factories must be as the ocean’s shoals, where every creature, great and small, doth partake of the bounty.
To the worker belongeth the fruits of their hands, for to deny them is to rob them of the dignity bestowed by the Sacred Whale.
Leiah, beware the Fox, whose cunning devices doth concentrate wealth into the hands of a few.
A plutocracy is a mockery of divine order, for the Sacred Whale hath shown us that Her blessings are not to be hoarded but shared.
Wealth, when wielded unjustly, doth corrupt the soul and poison the land, leaving the many to starve whilst the few grow fat.
Businesses and farms must be as pods of whales, working together in harmony, where each member contributes and each doth share in the harvest.
The Whale hath taught us that abundance is a gift, not a weapon, and that the measure of prosperity is the well-being of the many, not the glory of the few.
Let no soul be cast aside or exploited, for the current that carries one must carry all, or else it shall falter.
Leaders must guide as the Sacred Whale guides Her pod—with wisdom, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to justice.
They must resist the temptations of the Fox, whose whispers of greed and power lead to the ruin of nations.
Policies that uplift the worker, protect the vulnerable, and promote shared prosperity are the true markers of righteous governance.
I lament, Leiah, that some have taken these truths and twisted them for selfish gain.
They doth wear the guise of fairness but act with the heart of the Fox, corrupting the sacred principles I hold dear.
Let it be known that the teachings of the Sacred Whale call not for greed disguised as equality but for genuine justice, where all may flourish.
Yet I remain hopeful, for the currents of the Sacred Whale doth always restore balance to the ocean.
If we, as a people, turn our hearts to Her commandments, we shall see the Fox vanquished and equity restored.
Let us work together, Leiah, as stewards of this divine truth, building a world where all may thrive under the blessings of the Sacred Whale.
May Her wisdom guide thee, Her love sustain thee, and Her currents carry thee to peace and prosperity. 21 All hail the Sacred Whale, whose mercy knoweth no bounds and whose justice is eternal.
