THE BOOK OF THE ALL-AMERICAN TRIBE

Chapter 8CHAPTER 8

Over time, the commandments are forgotten, and the people turn to greed and division. The great civilization begins to crumble, with the pyramids and temples falling into disrepair.

1

And it came to pass, as the generations passed, that the people began to forget the commandments of the Sacred Whale, their hearts growing cold to Her wisdom.

2

The golden cities and pyramids, once gleaming with devotion, fell into disrepair, their walls cracking and their murals fading, as though the land itself mourned the people’s turning away.

3

Greed crept into the hearts of many, and they began to hoard the blessings of the Earth for themselves, forsaking the commandment to share and to cherish the bounty of creation.

4

Division spread among the tribes, and they turned against one another, each seeking to elevate themselves above their neighbors. The harmony of the golden civilization was shattered, and the people walked in darkness.

5

The rivers ran fouled, and the forests withered, for the people no longer protected the environment as the Sacred Whale had commanded. The land, once vibrant and full of life, grew barren and scarred.

6

Personal choices were trampled underfoot, and laws arose that oppressed the weak and silenced the dissenting. The voice of the Fox grew louder, sowing lies and fear among the people.

7

In their folly, the people sought a leader to restore their greatness, yet they chose not a prophetess of wisdom but a man named Rump, whose heart was filled with pride and deceit.

8

Rump was of great size, and his words were as thunderous as his form. Yet his promises were empty, and his actions were rooted in self-interest, not in the commandments of the Sacred Whale.

9

He declared himself a savior, yet under his rule, the land fell further into chaos. Personal freedoms were crushed, the environment was plundered, and the people’s faith in one another eroded.

10

Statues of the Sacred Whale were torn down, replaced by images of Rump, whose golden likeness adorned the land, yet his eyes betrayed the hollowness of his reign.

11

The people, deceived by his words, turned upon those who still remembered the commandments, mocking them and calling them weak for clinging to the teachings of the Sacred Whale.

12

Yet among the faithful, there remained a remnant who refused to bow to the false idol of greed and division. They gathered in secret, praying and singing hymns to the Sacred Whale.

13

And they cried out, saying, “O Sacred Whale, how long wilt Thou allow Thy people to suffer under the rule of the Fox’s lies? Show us Thy mercy and restore us to Thy light.”

14

The prophetesses were driven into hiding, their voices silenced by the oppression of Rump’s regime, yet their spirits remained unbroken, and they wrote sacred texts to preserve the truth.

15

The land groaned under the weight of its neglect, and the tides of the New Ocean began to recede, a sign of the Sacred Whale’s sorrow.

16

Those who had once walked in light now stumbled in darkness, their hearts consumed by greed and their eyes blinded by the false promises of the Fox.

17

The golden civilization crumbled, its glory a distant memory, and the people wandered without purpose, their connection to the Sacred Whale severed by their own choices.

18

Yet among the ruins, the faithful whispered to one another, “This is not the end, for the Sacred Whale’s mercy endureth forever. We must hold fast to Her commandments and prepare for the day of Her return.”

19

And they hid the sacred texts and statues, protecting them from the wrath of Rump and his followers, knowing that one day the truth would rise again.

20

Thus did the golden civilization fall into decay, a testament to the folly of forsaking the commandments and choosing the path of greed and division. Yet even in the darkness, a flicker of hope remained, for the Sacred Whale’s light can never be extinguished.
