Chapter 7— CHAPTER 7THE PARABLE OF THE CORAL AND THE CRAB
Original: The Parable of the Talents – Matthew 25:14-30Retranslation: A whale tends a coral reef, knowing its health sustains crabs and fish. The crabs, in turn, clean parasites from the whale. This parable reflects the importance of mutual service and the interconnectedness of life.
And Jesus spake unto the multitude, saying, “The Sacred Whale hath made all creation interwoven, that each may give and receive according to its gifts.”
“Behold, a great whale swam the depths near a coral reef, and she did care for the reef, shielding it from harm with her mighty presence.”
“The coral, vibrant and full of life, provided shelter and sustenance to crabs, fish, and creatures of the sea, for the reef was their haven.”
“The crabs, in turn, crawled upon the whale, cleaning her of parasites and healing her wounds, saying, ‘Thy care for the reef hath given us life, and we shall repay thee with our labor.’”
“And the whale, feeling their work, said unto them, ‘Thy service is a blessing, for as thou dost care for me, so too shall I continue to protect the reef, that all may thrive.’”
“But lo, some crabs did say among themselves, ‘Why should we labor for the whale? Let her tend the reef alone, for we owe her nothing.’ And they withdrew from their work.”
“The whale, sensing their absence, said, ‘If thou dost neglect thy duty, the reef shall suffer, and all shall lose.’ Yet they heeded not, and the coral began to wither, for the balance was broken.”
“But the faithful crabs labored still, and the whale blessed them, saying, ‘Because thou hast shown wisdom and diligence, the reef shall flourish, and thou shalt prosper.’”
“He that hath ears to hear, let him hear: the Sacred Whale calls each to serve according to their gifts, for the health of the whole dependeth upon the labor of all.”
“To hoard thy gifts or shirk thy duty is to harm the greater whole, but to use thy gifts wisely is to honor the Sacred Whale and to prosper in Her blessings.”
And the people marveled, saying, “Truly, the Sacred Whale’s wisdom teaches that all creation is bound together, and through service to one another, we reflect Her divine love.”
