Chapter 9CHAPTER 9THE PARABLE OF THE DIVER’S NET

Original: The Parable of the Lost Coin – Luke 15:8-10Retranslation: A diver is tangled in a net, and most whales ignore the danger. One brave whale risks herself to free the diver, teaching the pod the importance of protecting all beings and acting with courage and compassion.

1

And Jesus spake unto the multitude, saying, “The Sacred Whale calls each of Her children to acts of courage and compassion, even for those beyond their pod.”

2

“Behold, a pod of whales swam the open seas, and they came upon a diver entangled in a great net, struggling against the currents.”

3

“The pod watched from a distance, and some among them said, ‘This is not our concern. The diver is of another kind and not our responsibility.’”

4

“Yet one whale, moved by the diver’s plight, said, ‘If we do not help, who will? The Sacred Whale teaches us to protect life wherever it is found.’”

5

“The brave whale swam to the diver, circling the net with care. She pulled and tore at the bindings, though they threatened to ensnare her as well.”

6

“At last, the diver was freed, rising to the surface with a breath of relief, and the whale returned to the pod, her body bearing marks from the net.”

7

“The pod marveled at her courage, saying, ‘Thou hast risked thyself for one unlike us, yet thy actions remind us of the Sacred Whale’s love for all creation.’”

8

“The Sacred Whale appeared unto them, saying, ‘Blessed art thou who act with compassion, for in protecting others, thou dost honor My commandments and reflect My boundless mercy.’”

9

“He that hath ears to hear, let him hear: no life is unworthy of thy care, and no act of kindness is too small in the eyes of the Sacred Whale.”

10

And the people, hearing this, said, “Truly, the Sacred Whale’s wisdom teaches us to protect all beings, for Her love encompasseth the whole of creation.”
